for 6 weeks died, also his daughter Amanda took it and died in about 10 days. Clinton Haggard was brought home about a month ago dead. His funeral and his sisters will both be readied tomorrow at Rowes church by Mr Crosby. There is a school at North Star now, it is taught by Muster Ribbins of Buena Vista. He had a light touch of fever just after you left and so far recovered his health as to be able to work. When he was taken worse and at one time the doctor said he would not live more than two hours but he is now nearly well. I must close for this time hoping to hear from you soon.
I remain as ever your friend Francis Ramsey
